if  this  is some kind of vent to  the  transsmission  ,  iam sure that end 
is still  in place,   its what to do with the lose end          do i tie it 
up  somewhere in the  engine  bay?   if anyone can could easily get under 
their   57/58  car and locate this  tube   it would help  tremendously
