No, the numbers are the gauge of the wire. Smaller gauge = larger wire (= able to carry more current). Larger gauge = smaller wire. (don't ask me, it's probably some British thing, oh wait... LOL!)

The sizes below "1-gauge" are referred to as "ought", "double-ought", etc.

i was looking at the wiring diagrams in the FSM and noticed that each wire
had a number becide it ; ie   blue 14     red 12    etc , would this relate

to the number of strands to make up that particular wire
