This is a growing problem, as some list members have pointed out. Here on
N.C. we have the problem with folks who build way out in the country to get away
from the city problems, and then sue a local farmer who is their neighbor
because he fires up his tractor at 6 AM. No matter that the farm has been there
for a century or more.
Worst case I have heard of (and I have heard of many) involved a local
elderly gent here who had a great junk year full of 50's cars, including several
Imps. The old fellow would be seen in his yard wearing a shirt and tie working
on his cars. His worthless son (rant) was the local district attorney for
awhile. Old gent deeded him several acres across the street to build his mansion
on. As soon as the son got it built he filed a complaint against his own father
claiming the cars lowered his property value!! You guessed it. County told the
elderly gent the cars had to go. And this was way out in the country, miles from
any other houses.
We live in uncertain
times-
