==========================================
I had posted here a while ago about putting my new deck into my 1990
Imperial.
So I found that each sub has its own amp, so there is 8 speakers (4
tweeters
and 4 subs), all factory equipment except the deck. Now there is one
wire,
"AMP" i assume it gives power to all the amps. OK, i hooked it up today,
and
when I use the radio the subs work, BUT when i try and play a CD, nothing
happens.......
How can I get the one wire to work?? This wire SHOULD go to the 'remote
lead' wire on the deck, and I put it there, but I get nothing. So how do
I
go about getting sound to the subs?
=======================================
Ryan, I did the same thing for my son's Concorde and my Intrepid.
Here's what I did (we have Kenwood stereos).
The BLUE wire is for a remote antenna but it is not used.
The BLUE/WHITE TRACER wire is for the power amps.
If you use the antenna wire, there is not enough juice to power
the amps and they might not work at all, or they will be weak
and keep cutting out..
(I am assuming you are hooking up to the factory INFINITY stereo
speakers?)
Sounds fantastic when hooked up correctly. (And I can play .mp3's,
WMA's and CD's . . . .)
