It looks like a doorbell transformer. The speaker relay is in the middle of
several relays at the top middle above the glove box. the speaker choke coil
is to the right side above the the glove box. I believe it has 2 greens wire
with a white stripe going to it.
The ground connection sounds correct. My CD player had problems so I took it
out and put the Infinity AM/FM cassette deck back in.

Well Im actually happy to har you say that! I took the glove box off last
nighte, and its still off, so im gonna go out and look for it. But since I
know so little about cars and their internal workings....what iis the
choke box? what does it look like and what does it do?
The radio fuse is still good, it hasnt melted through, but I will look
again just to be sure.
Also, I remember when I pulled the factory radio out, the ground was
screwed right into the back of it. I did this again with my Apline deck,
just put the ground strap and the ground from the deck right into the back
of it. Is this ok?
