Bruce, You might check with Kenyan Wills Kenyon Wills imperialist1960@xxxxxxxxx , I
believe he might be able to get you an original style distributor. Then
you can replace the points and condenser inside with a module made by Pertronix.
You can check their web site at www.pertronix.com
. I made this conversion to my ’67 Crown. The nice feature
about this modification is that there is no evidence under the hood that a
breakerless ignition system exists unless you remove the distributor cap.
So far it has been flawless. Ken 67 Crown 69 Satellite 63 Power Wagon 01 01 300M 04 Ram 2500 -----Original Message----- Hello list, The mighty 71 4-door Le Baron needs a new distributor. Can anyone recommend the best one for this use(440 engine)?" It had one when I got it, which went bad and the manufacturer of which was out of business, so I bought a rebuilt points unit(mistake). I'd like to buy one from a company that will be around in a few years. The story is that my mechanic could not
find the bad lobes with his modern scope/analyzer in his shop, but found them right away with the ancient 12-volt scope in his attic! So there. Any recommendations? thanks Bruce S __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
