IML: To See Or Not To See

I'm looking for a little friendly advise.  I have recently completed the 
exterior restoration of my '66 Crown Coupe Hardtop - at least as complete as 
these projects ever are.  I will post some pictures later so you can all 
tell me how great it looks.  Anyway, my question relates to the passenger 
sideview mirror.  When I bought the car over a year ago, it had a knock-off 
cheap passenger sideview that I promptly replaced with a very nice (rare) 
original that I bought from Lowell.  I had the car painted this past winter 
so, of course, I removed the mirror before it went to the body/paint shop.  
While patching up a few dents and dings, they filled in and painted over the 
mirror holes.  Now I have to decide - do I drill out the holes and install 
the mirror, or do I leave it off - which is probably the way the car was  
delivered to the original owner.

I think I've answered my own question because I like the "balanced" look of 
two mirrors and it is quite useful when changing lanes on the highway.  
Anyway, I would appreciate any thoughts, advise, suggestions.
