Well Dick, it's no surprise that you are correct about this car.  It is NOT
an 82; it is an 81.  The seller had it marked 1982 and I didn't think to
question him.  The VIN code "B" indicates that it is an 81 and, therefore,
the sunroof is almost certainly factory-installed.  It sure did look that
way to me.  If I read the Mopar books properly, the sunroof was the ONLY
extra cost option for 81 and it was quite pricey at over $1000.

Yes, this one is rough and overpriced, but I thought I'd let the list know
about it.  If I had more space or more time I'd make this one mine due
largely to the color combo and presence of the sunroof.  I've had a great
fascination with the 81-83 Imperials since they were first introduced.  One
shows up in the local U-Pull-It yard every so often and I scrutinize it.
They are beautiful cars.

The sunroof looks factory, but it was not available in 82, I don't think.
If I'm right, the sunroof is an aftermarket item.  

The price is about where it should be for a decent running original car, but
seems high for this one.  I was especially impressed with the red painted
Pentastar on the red painted grille housing!

Out here in CA, at least, these are normally selling around $500 to $1000,
unless they are really pristine.   People are afraid of the ones with EFI (I
can't imagine why!), and the ones that have been backyard converted won't
pass CA smog.
