Well! after all this time, I finally got to meet another IML member face to face! Bill Ulman (aka Sweet William) drove out through yesterday afternoon's horrendous traffic conditions in the resolute and lovely Doris Day, to meet with me and pick up a lovely antique Windsor treadle sewing machine. Doris and Lucille enjoyed an evening confab on the grass, comparing notes and posing prettily for their pictures. Doris proved once again that an Imperial is truly the car for all seasons, by accomodating the treadle cabinet easily on her vast and very plush rear seat for its ride home. My husband Rick was duly impressed, and we all had SUCH a nice visit! Bill even got a nice smootch from a couple of the equine family members. Got to do this again some time. MAybe with a few more Imperials....we have five acres in which to park..... Lovely drive in this morning in Lucille, she does make the asphalt disappear. Hope nobody pulls another idiot act on Highway 2 tonight - I'd love to get home on time!
