Re: IML: '66 Imperial tranny indicator cable.

Aad,

Piano wire! I went to a piano repair shop with a sample of the old wire and they gave me some for a few cents. I forget what gauge wire it is but just bring a sample with you.

Hello.

On my '66 Imperial the indicator showing which gear you are in does not
work any more. The cable is broken.
Does any one know where I can get a new one? It is a solid steel cable,
not a woven type. My transmission got a complete overhaul last September
before going on the Route 66 trip. The indicator stopped operating about
after 5000 miles. The tranny works good and does not leak any more.

Thanks very much in advance for your help.
