Paul I have read that the dual taillight rings were an exclusive to the LeBaron in 1959. I have seen many LeBarons, including my own, with the dual rings and I have also seen a few with the single rings. I suspect (emphasis on "suspect") that the early LeBarons were the ones that did not have them. The manufacture date for mine was March 8, 1959. By the way the complete restoration of my 1959 LeBaron is essentially complete. There are a few minor items that are outstanding such as the aerial (this has been a frustrating exercise) and the emblems that fit onto the LeBaron insignia (Emblemagic). The Restoration Shop has planned a "Showcase" evening on June 16 with my car as the centerpiece. Recall that the car is a deep ruby colored FDHT with a silvercrest roof. There is some bias in this statement but it is an unbelievably attractive automobile. They didn't ALL have that. This looks like a bad car, but it might be worth fixing. > > Paul W. > > In an email dated 10/6/2005 12:02:03 am GMT Daylight time, Kenyon Wills <imperialist1960@xxxxxxxxx> writes: > > > > >--- RandalPark@xxxxxxx wrote: > >> Come on guys, the space between the Le and Baron in > >> the 1960 script is because the capital "B" cannot be > >> connected to the small "e". > > > > > >So you're saying that with all of the engineering > >talent available at chrysler, not to mention the > >superior design talent of Virgil Exner that they > >weren't able to connect two letters together on a > >peice of script, AND that they repeated the "error" > >for YEARS through 1963? > > > >I've heard some real way-out conspiracy theories in my > >day, but that one's a little over the top. > > > >Hey - either they're connected or they aren't, and on > >that script, they just aren't. > > > > > > > >Kenyon Wills > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com ----------------- > >This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List.
