The 90's Imperials used the eagles quite extensively and very attractively IMO. http://nybclub.org/membercars/bradhogg/90Imperial/Eagles.jpg The wreath is imo a call-back to the 75 Imperial's hood ornament. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher H" <imperial67@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "IML (main)" <mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, June 08, 2005 4:24 PM Subject: Re: IML: Le Baron trivia question? All Imperials were LeBarons in 1974 and 1975, and 1975 the last year before the Imperial name disappeared for a while. All was quiet in 1976... The midsize Chrysler LeBaron and the similar Dodge Diplomat (OK, they were really compacts since they were based on the F-body Aspen/Volare, but by the late 1980s that's what we considered a large car!) debuted midyear in 1977 as 1977 models (some say 1977-1/2). The LeBaron did indeed use the former Imperial eagle medallions all over the place, and I believe the Imperial never used them again. The 1990s used a strange (imho) combination of Pentastars and Cadillac wreaths... The Imperial and LeBaron names have yet to be reunited. -- Chris in LA 67 Crown 78 NYB Salon ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com ----------------- This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List.
