Re: IML: 1959 Imperial South Hampton soon to be for sale?

The starter had been successfully rebuilt, but then later failed again. The motor runs strong. It has the 413 motor in it. We found the parts car, and had planned to take the starter off of it, as well as the rear fender areas where the four door is rusted. That was the plan, but now, there is not going to be any time for that. We have way to many projects, and really need to focus our attention on other things. So, we are selling our project cars. I hate to let this one go, but I made a commitment, and really need to stand behind it.

Thanks for your interest.

Teresa

When did the starter quit? How long since it has been run/driven?

Hello list:

We are thinking of selling our 1959 Imperial in favor of other pursuits. If there is anyone interested out there, please let me know. I may not get back to anyone this week, as I am scheduled for jury duty. But, I will try to get back asap. The car has the stainless roof, and all options except for rear air (because it has the rear defroster). It is all original, it has the mirror-matic rear view, auto-pilot, and most all the bells and whistles. It is Aqua Mist in color. It ran great til the starter went out, and we haven't driven it since. We recently ran across a 1957 2 door, and want to sell both cars together, someone can restore one, and use the other for parts. The 1959 that we have has rust in the rear quarter under the spats, but it is repairable. There is also a bit of rust in the passenger front fender, behind the wheel well. You know, the typical areas of invasion. If you have any questions, please email me. We have other things that we need to be doing right now, and I hate to leave this car out in the weather.

Thanks all.

Teresa Smith
