Re: IML: '60 Imperial 4dr Convertible available - OK, fine let's have a look see

Hi IMLers;

I saw the post from Wm. R. Ulman about the 60 convertible Imperial here in San Diego. I believe this
car still has the original hardtop roof, but has a mock convertible top installed over it and the back
door handles removed to make this 4 door look like a 2 door. This car has been for sale out here for
at least 6 - 8 months and there used to be much larger pictures of this car on the Collectorcartrader
website at one time which I looked at closely and think that the original hardtop roof is still under
the convertible top.

                                                              Sincerely,

If anyone is interested in seeing this car the price is $5,000.00.  Someone took a Crown 4dr Southampton, or maybe even a LeBaron, and made a convertible out of it.  Beware of body flex, but have a look see anyway.

Go to:  http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com/addetaildriver.html?78764256

What could be done, if it has not been already to make this car a viable driver?  Can a X frame be fitted somehow, or other structural reinforcements done to make this car not just split in half sometime?

Just curious and thought several of you might be as well if just for  the oddity of it

Go forth an prosper today,
