Welcome to the group Geoff!  I too have a '65 Crown convertible (Sequoia 
Green and Metallic Gold with Sierra Sand top) that is currently nearing 
completion of a lengthy frame off restoration.  Don't know where I'd be 
without the help of this group.  There are plenty of other '65 owners on 
this list who will also be happy to help you with your questions or any 
problems you run into.  '65 was a GREAT year for Imperials.  You know your 
car is one of only 633 Crown convertibles built in 1965?  A rare car it is!

Best of luck on Ebay.  Just remember, 'buyer beware' when it comes to 
purchasing anything long distance.  Some sellers are top notch and others 
are, less than scrupulous, shall we say.  Check the seller's feedback and 
ask a lot of direct questions.  Don't hesitate to ask for more (or better) 
pictures of an item.  They are the ones trying to sell something on an 
international forum.  They need to provide good, clear, close-up pictures 
and an honest description of the item.  Ask this list if anyone has had 
dealings with a particular seller.  We'll be glad to let you know if we've 
had a good or bad experience with a vendor or seller of parts.  We're here 
to help each other get our Imperials back on the road and looking new again!
