Hi, No clips were used, the pad was originally attached using a spray on adhesive.  Gary Goers has reproductions available.

How is the hood pad on a 60 Imperial attached?

Does it use clips something like the 67 Imperial uses ?.

All that is left on the underside of my 60's hood is a few fragments of insulation and what looks to be some sort of glue.
