Re: IML: Exhaust for 66

Resonators are mufflers.

On '64-'66 sedans and coupes there is a front muffler
under the back seat and and long rear resonator under
the trunk. Convertibles have a dual exhaust with very
short, flat resonators under the front seat and longer
mufflers under that back seat. (Dual system necessary
because massive "X" member added to convertible frame
does not allow for a crossover pipe needed for a
single system.)

Although Imperials switched from a dual system to a
single in 1962, I put a dual system on my 66 LeBaron
with two front mufflers and two rear resonators. Car
is now whisper quiet and seemed to pick up a few HP in
the process over the single system.
