That would be impossible. If they wanted to get it right, they must be willing
to accept a huge loss. These corporations don't care about how "good" cars
they make, they only care about the profit. And the people that would
appreciate real quality would be the vast minority. Lets face it. One of the
reasons why the modern cars are plastic is because that's what the public
wants. If you would build a car out of real metal and chrome, it would cost,
and very few would be willing to pay for it. Very few would be considering
keeping a car indefinately, so they would see no value. In fact, many
motorists have been convienced that having a car out of plastic and thin metal
as opposed to a real car is actually better or safer or whatever. The days
when people demanded styling in their cars are over. Now cars are appliances
to most people.
