IML: Pushbutton adjustment- I am stupid

Doing lots of things to my car and working late... thinking I was removing the speedo cable I removed the shift cable! Wow I felt dumb, but no harm... but now the car is acting like the neutral switch is now working. I think that I did not get the shift cable back to the same spot. But, of course I had the starter relay off and all the wires too. 
Am I right on the adjustment and how do I find the correct spot?
