This cutting down of the fins of the 61 imperial isn't the first time I know of.  The Indoneisian presidents always used Imperials during the early 60's and had the fins cut down when they ordered them because of security concerns and because the president just didn't like them.  It is possable that this car came from the factory with its wings trimmed.

Hi Folks,

 Listed on ebay as a 1963 Imperial is a 1961 Imperial with cut down fins.  This is the the same car that was on ebay earlier this year.  It looks a little worse for wear in these shots than it did the first time.  The interior looks significantly more faded in these photos.  Still a really cool car.   The year was listed correctly the first time.  It is obviously being listed by whoever won the car.  It took two auctions to sell it the first time, it was relisted for some reason.  Anyway, interesting car.
