Re: IML: 1990 Imperial

hi all i too have a pc problem i think first of all my outside temp ranges from 5 to 25 degrees above actual temp however i think this was a design flaw and im not worried about it my radio works and i can feel if its cold or warm outside however my question is i lent my car to my cousin a few weeks back and she parked it with the lights on which of course killed the battery she got it jumped and the fuel guage read 1/4 tank and proceeded to drive the 1 1/2 hours back to me during which time the guage never moved and she ran out of gas about 15 min away ever since then gas guage hasnt worked ive been using the gallons consumed to to gauge my gas is there a reset for it or something im not getting in info except blinking and low fuel nothing comes up under the old mopar code search turn the key three times and count the blinks any help would be appreciated i live 10 min away from the belvidere illinois chrysler plant where all these cars were built so it is cold right now so originally thought the gauge was frozen and added gas line anti freeze to see if it would help which it didnt which brings me to another subject discussed what if we set up a meet by the birthplace of these cars and maybe got chrysler involved as well like maybe tours of the plant? just a suggestion

Hi, great to be back on the Imperial mailing list!   I have a 1990 with a few problems, some of which I have solved and some not!   I need some technical advice.  My Interior Overhead Temperature reading are aboujt 40 degress higher than the outside temperature.

I took the car to the dealer and they put in a new sensor near the front grill.  Of course they did not check the interior readings and they were the same, this did not change the overhead console readings!!  It took me a week or so to get back to them.  Once did they tell me I need the computer board in the Overhead Console replaced as this must be damaged.

I need a opinion from some one who underatsnds these issues, I do not!   The computer board is over USD 400 at the dealer!  if I need a new one does anyone have one for sale or any idea wher I can locate a used one?   Also how do I get the Overhead Console to release from the roof area without breaking it??

Thanks for the advice, I need it!  Tim
