Okay, I see your side - It appears to be very ummm, libertarian. It 
seems like you adhere to the "Law of the Jungle" philosophy... So, 
here's MY perspective, which is much more 
fairness-and-community-oriented... I've had direct experience with 
these Coyotes that colors my perspective, and that I didn't mention in 
my previous article. here are just a couple of examples:

- One of my cars  (a 1960 Electra 225 convertible with factory bucket 
seats) was stolen from a rented garage, and a friend tipped me off that 
the car was now in a stranger's yard along with around twenty other 
tailfinned and muscle-cars.  The Coyote had already sold it for $30,000 
sight unseen to a guy in Sweden. I got the car back, but then called 
the Coyote and recorded a long conversation with him in which he 
spilled the beans leading to my article.  His hearty laughter and open 
scorn for car-hobbyists reminds me of your message, frankly.  Yes, the 
Almighty Dollar is a dandy thing to have, but I'd rather see hobbyists 
and dedicated fans of these old cars win, not the sharks that feed upon 
us.  Why else would I create this mailing-list and website?  Not for 
selfish purposes and personal profit, I assure you.

- Another one of my cars (a 1961 DeSoto 2-door hardtop) was bought by a 
man from Sweden who wheedled, cajoled and nagged me until I finally 
felt sorry enough to sell the car to him at what I thought was a 
ridiculously high price... $3000.  A month later, he sold it for 
$38,000 at the Stuttgart Auction.  He lied to me, over and over, just 
to make a profit.  I am pretty certain that you think that that was 
admirable on his part - All power to him, as long as he gets to WIN at 
other people's expense, huh?  There's only a finite amount of goodies 
in the world, and the more I can yank away from others, the more I can 
get for me, me, me!

I don't think that way.  I like to live life as a Boy Scout - 
Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, yadda yadda.  I like my life.  I haven't 
made my first million bucks yet, and I don't care -  I'm the most 
popular, most-loved man I know.  I'm living a fulfilled life, and if I 
were hit by a truck tomorrow, I could die happy knowing that I was able 
to live according to values that I hold dear.

I don't screw people over.  Ever.  I treat people with respect.  EVERY 
RELIGION on earth contains a variation on the Golden Rule - Do Unto 
Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You. Lately, the folks who are 
making the most noise in the news seem to have forgotten that part of 
their upbringing.  Too inconvenient.

Yeah, I know - this probably sounds like random noise to anybody who 
likes to screw other people over for personal profit, but it resonates 
with more people than the alternate philosophy.
