IML: emblems and such.

I was sitting in the drivers seat of my 59 and making a list of things needed to be done to the car. and i noticed all of the emblems and trim has pitts in them and some have what I call spider webing in the plastic or what ever it's made out of and I got scared. fist I thought I may have to replace every piece of trim and all emblems on this car, but then a light came on in my brain and a voice inside me said go online and find out is there hope ...... I think it may be possible to rechrome most if not all trim. but what about the plastic parts. my dash panel down at the bottom left side has spider web and so do the emblems . I dont know about you guy's but the cost of this project may tick my wife off...but i thing she will be pleased once the car starts taking shape...... can the plastic and emblems be repaired or will I have to buy new ones' I don't want to send them off if I dont haveta because im afraid I may never see them again,( happen to a friend ).could there be some kind of repair kit avalible that I could buy and Do it myself?
