Hi Doug,

Too bad it is a '58 Fury as their numbers are much more difficult to 
translate as they were built in all of the Plymouth plants that year, where 
'56s were built only in Evansville, IN; and '57s only in Detroit.  For '58 
each of the plants had their own VIN sequences.  Unfortunately, without the 
VIN you don't know what plant this was built in (LP2_ is Detroit, LP2E is 
Evansville, LP2L is Los Angeles, LP2N is New Jersey).  What you do know is 
that this Fury was built in the first half of the production run - ie, body 
number 3127 translates to #2127 of the 5303 built as Fury body numbers start 
at 1001 for each of the three years (and also your early build date as the 
factory rushed to try and get a Fury in every dealer's showroom at new model 
introduction in 1958, to stimulate traffic).  Also, my understanding of 
"149", is the Fury interior trim code.

This Fury was not on our Registry, it is a new find.  If you have a chance, 
I would like more info to add it to our Registry, ie, owner name, address, 
options on the car and any "history".  You, or the owner, can contact me at
