[GFS] Directional turn signals

Hi.
Has anyone had to turn a non-power steering car into a power steering
car, and had experience in dealing with the turn signal mechanism
differences?
My parts book shows different part numbers for some of the parts within
the steering column associated with the directional turn signals, and I
need to know what I am missing.
Why would these parts need to be different anyway?
