Location: London, England | Hi, my 57 Plym has manual brakes, all properly bled and adjusted. It stops fine. However, the brake pedal seems a lot higher than the gas pedal, I have to consciously lift my leg to get my foot on it. Is this normal? If not, what could be adjusted? Free play is good. |

You could try braking with your right foot instead if it bothers you. That's what most people do who learned to drive with a manual transmission because you have to push the clutch with your right foot before braking.
If you would like to adjust it lower, then shorten the push rod and increase the upper stop. I'm not sure if that upper stop is adjustable or not. If not, then you may need to weld something to it. |
