I have just started the journey of getting this re licenced. It was licenced in the state I bought it from, but I dont know how, there is some really shonky stuff been done to this car. It Looks in it's present Form Just terrible. Couldn't replace those ghastly rims with incorrect Offset fast enough with Stock ones and Whitewalls. It Hurts looking at them. Needs a correct paint job too. Terrible 2 tone scheme. All easy to fix, congrats, rare Car with Lots of Potential

I am guessing, but it may have been painted with an airless paint gun, like you might use to paint a fence. My current thing with the car right now though is to try and alighn the panels and the windows. Everything is interfearing with each other

I do have to re paint it though as I think it was painted with an airless paint gun. I have never seen such a bad paint job as this. Sorry to say that i can NOT disagree. It is bad. However, I have seen vehicles (not mine) that were painted with a sponge roller that were initially pretty bad *BUT* were greatly improved by wet sanding to remove the "porosity". It would be a lot of work, but if you work one panel at a time, I am sure that you will see improvement. Maybe starting with 400 or 600 grit. (or maybe 200??). Experiment. Don't try to get it perfect on one panel until you've gone around the car at least once. Once you go around the car once, you could start over with a finer grit (800? 1000?). monitoring the improvement until you are happy(ier). Eventually you could get to 1500 grit and machine polish. Over the years, I have rattle-canned every panel on my 56 Dodge. Some areas (hood and trunk tops) still need work but many of the panels have been greatly improved by wet sanding and machine polishing. You could do that with yours too. "There is no direct German equivalent for "Negative Nancy," so the most common translations are to use descriptive words like Pessimist (pessimist), Schwarzseher (a person who sees everything negatively/pessimist), or Nörgler (complainer/grumbler). Other options include using more general negative terms like Debbie Downer (which is also understood in German) or describing the person's behavior as jammern auf hohem Niveau (whining on a high level) or schlechte Laune haben (to be in a bad mood). It has an oil leak from around the filter (I think). Washed the engine yesterday, so I hope to get that fixed today. Engine colour is a bit strange as its teal and I cant find any evidence of silver on it. The engine number does srart with P318. I think the trudk engines were this colour, but I thought they had a different number and were stamped on the other side of the block (p7.jpg) Attachments ---------------- p7.jpg (116KB - 45 downloads)
