| Hello All,
Looking for a shop in the US to rebuild my powerflite transmission out of my 56 Windsor. Currently nothing wrong with it but the motor is going to be rebuilt so I figured I would have the transmission rebuilt at the same time. If you have had good or bad experience with a shop I would love to hear from you.
Thanks

Location: So. Cal | You might be able to talk James Rawa into rebuilding it (he's in New Jersey). But he might try to talk you into swapping a 3 speed into it instead. Personally, if it works well, I wouldn't touch it except to change the front & rear seals, change the shifter cable seal, and the pan gasket.

Location: Eastern Iowa | Mass huh! In that case I would contact Don Verity at 401-231-7816 in Smithfield RI, chryslerdon@aol.com
He is the transmission guru and a member of the 300Club. Tell him Dave Schwandt gave you his contact info.
He has rebuilt many units for club members over the years. |
