Hello All,

Looking for a shop in the US to rebuild my powerflite transmission out of my 56 Windsor. Currently nothing wrong with it but the motor is going to be rebuilt so I figured I would have the transmission rebuilt at the same time. If you have had good or bad experience with a shop I would love to hear from you.

Thanks

You might be able to talk James Rawa into rebuilding it (he's in New Jersey). But he might try to talk you into swapping a 3 speed into it instead. Personally, if it works well, I wouldn't touch it except to change the front & rear seals, change the shifter cable seal, and the pan gasket.

Mass huh! In that case I would contact Don Verity at 401-231-7816 in Smithfield RI, chryslerdon@aol.com
He is the transmission guru and a member of the 300Club. Tell him Dave Schwandt gave you his contact info.
He has rebuilt many units for club members over the years.
