Not sure of the fine details but it would appear that the 1957 Dodges had a 122 inch wheel base.

https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/dodge/57dg1/bilder/8.jpg

Whereas the 1958 (and probably 1957) Plymouth wheelbase was 118 inches. The only 58 Plymouths
that had 122 inch wheel bases were the wagons (because the Plymouth, Dodge, and Desoto
wagons ("suburbans") shared the same basic body, etc. )

https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/plymouth/ply8/bilder/10.jpg

All that said:

1. The start of Chapter 13 of the 1955-58 Parts book has several pages devoted to adapting one frame to another application.

2. Oddly, apparently, the 1957 Fury sat on a 122" wheel base but the 1958 Fury did not. It sat on a 118" wheel base. Go figure

1829 750 was the 122" wheelbase frame.

1829 948 was the 1958 Plymouth, non-suburban, non-convertible (everything else) frame.

So my guess is, a clever person with an arc welder (aren't they all these days) and loads of skills and a bit of luck could adapt 122" Dodge frame to a
1958 Plymouth 118" wheelbase Fury.

At least, that is what I *think* (I stand to be corrected by those with more knowledge)

I'm pretty sure the Dodges had the 122 in frames which won't work for the 118in Plymouth. He will need a Plymouth frame Wayne.

That must be a misprint, I have owned both 57 and 58 Furys and they are the same 118" wheelbase. That said, i believe the extra 4 inches of the Dodge frame are located in the area of the back seat and the front mount of the rear springs. it may be possible to shorten the frame there, Also I think the rear springs are longer on the Dodge because of this.

Some copy writer in the brochure department, named Lucy, apparently has got some of 'Splaining to do.

The 1957 Fury Brochure does say 118 inches.

That is a misprint. 1957 Fury has the same 118" wheelbase as rest of the 1957-58 non-suburban Plymouths.

Agreed. the frame 4'' longer on the dodge. Hence; the longer fenders. There is a chart somewhere showing body mount distances. maybe in a mopar collision manual. I bet 4'' cut after the front wheels would be correct, but, check measurements. Might be in here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/300933040927
