Okay everyone I am new to the site so a little help please.

I am the recent owner of a 1957 Savoy and would like to clone it to, of course the famous Christine Fury.

I need everything possible to creat the clone. Being new I have no clue to where I can find original and aftermarket parts.

I am hoping that you can help send me in the right directions. Anybody have parts? Make your lists and send them to me. List of people and companies that can help.

Emblems, exterior trim, grill, rear tail lights bevels, tail light lens, complete interior, headliner, trunk plymouth letters (Plymouth), fender spears,

hood plymouth emblem, grill V, head light bevels, fender eyebrows over headlights, roof rail moldings, glass windshield etc. theres lots more that I havent even found yet.

If theres any forum that can help me it has to be this forum.

Thanks, Tony.

Welcome to the forums!  Those parts are pretty tough/expensive to source now.  Maybe post an image or several of what you have now.  Images typically get the natives restless.  I will probably be cancelled for that last sentence, but I think I'm cancelled as is.  Maybe images of exterior and interior will help narrow the list.

Do you have the engine and dual quad set-up already? That would be the next step.

Good morning everyone.

Thank you for your quick responses.
The car is a basic roller (Savoy). The amazing thing is its a solid car with no rust.
It needs the engine and dual quads and matching transmission for push button setup.
I think what's in the car by the look of the engine is a 241 or 260?
I cant find the number stamp but I am looking to change it anyway.
I just found a pair of Fury dual headlights online.
Any leads to the parts would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Blast

Your engine is probably a 301 poly, unless it has been changed. The number stamp should be located under the driver's side head, at the front of the block.

BigM automotive is probably the best source for used parts. Give John Fowlie a call.

Pro-street cars are really over-rated. You'll quickly find out that all those go-fast goodies on your car make it much more painful to drive. It's great to increase the power, but there's a limit where it no longer enhances the driving experience and is only good to go a 1/4 mile at a time. I don't recommend that, especially if you want to drive it a lot and aren't really into racing it at the drag strip.

The savoy needs everything and I mean everything.
I just found out someone during its life put in a 325 engine.
Its stuck and wondering if its worth it to rebuild.
I'm looking for a L-350 but probably not going to find one, very hard to locate.

The headliner can be made. Someone was reproducing the strips, but I don't know if they still are. However, personally, I think the effort isn't worth the end result. I'm just going to put bows in it with a standard cloth headliner.

The Dodge 325 is a great engine. If you were close, I would take it from you. That's the largest size Dodge that can be converted to hemi with the right parts. A 326 is a completely different engine though. A picture would clear it up, which one you have.

So you are doing a 57 to 58 conversion and a Christine conversion.  Maybe it's good to break them up:

57 to 58

  • Headlights
  • Upper grille
  • Lower grille
  • Front lower valence
  • Fender birds
  • Hood emblem
  • Rear block letters
  • Rear bumper
  • Side trim
  • Tail lights and bezels
  • Interior
  • Stone guards
  • Wheelcovers
  • Dashboard

Christine stuff

  • Christine interior
  • Belvedere roof rail trim and gutter stainless trim
  • front fender antenna
  • I think you could go with either a gold v grille emblem or a silver (real Fury) v grille emblem
  • 150 mph speedometer
  • Golden Commando 350 or 318
  • Aluminum sportone inserts (requires the lower side trim too)
  • Belvedere wheel covers
  • Deluxe steering wheel
  • Deluxe horn ring with power steering emblem
  • Chrome stick door locks!  (that would require some dedication)
  • Dip seats - front and rear
  • Bumper guards - front and rear
  • Chrome trim under the trunk lid, connects the tail light bezels
  • Wide white wall tires
  • Depending on which version you are going for, - black window tint

I may have forgotten a few things.  What do you have so far?  What version are you going for?  The football game "first view" Christine, the black window Moochie killer (may need LED headlights), ...?

Thank you Lancer Mike,

Thank you for put this list together.
I just pickup the car and really don't have much.
Any donations? Lol. I have been looking on Ebay and other places but
there doesn't seem like there's to much out there.
Any recommendations?

Gotta keep your eyes on eBay, craigslist, facebook marketplace, Hemmings Motor News, and visit every junkyard within 500 miles.  Call John and M'Lisa at Big M Automotive in California and buy anything they might have.  It will take years to put all of that stuff together.  It might be worth saving your sheckles to buy one that's already done.  Join the Christine Car Club on facebook.

The thing that makes ForwardLooks so challenging is that MoPar doesn't license anything out.  Unlike Chevy, Ford, and Cadillac, there are no stores that repop everything.  We're on our own.  Try Len Dawson and Deception Pass.  Also, there is a great company in Sweden - Ken and Per ??? does anyone have their information?

Tony, you had a great idea for Chryslers at Carlisle!  There is another big event in Van Nuys, CA.  I think it's in the fall.  Maybe ping your local region on these forums.  You can also search the vendor forums when you're researching vendors.  For example, I had a bad suggestion to look at MoPar Mel's.  You can search the vendor forums for MoPar Mel and get all the lowdown.  If you're looking for interior stuff from SMS, for example, you should absolutely read those posts first!  Big M is very well regarded in these forums - probably in general.

You may want to try Murray Park in Wisconsin.  I haven't had much luck there, but I think others have and Murray is a ForwardLook fan.  Also, you may want to join the good ol' Plymouth Owner's Club.  I was a member of the POC when I owned my '58, and I think they are most definitely worth the small price of admission!
