Location: northern germany | Couldn't force my self to cut the perfect oe wiring to Install relays and drove around with a glowing headlights switch knob for 37 years. Finally street legal Led " bulbs" are available that fit the 1950s Bilux headlights. Wow, what a difference and no hot light switch anymore! Visibility is like 10 times better and finally oncoming cars switch to low beam before they blind me. No complaints from oncoming drivers either. All that at only 18Watts too. Love them. Phillips, all aluminum quality pieces, without the bulky fan housing/heat sink in the back (that's why I bought them, as there is no room for it in 60 Plymouths) Only 90 Euros shipped.

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Are they really street legal Sid? Here in Sweden the sales guys tell me that they are legal only to modern cars that has given approval - with an older car they won't be street legal.
I've had LED's in both the Saratoga (90 watt equalent per bulb) and the yeararound daily driver Buick Estate and there's no comparison whats so ever. Once one tried LED's there's no other option.
The Saratoga has plasma LED's in the tail lights - super bright

Location: northern germany | Sven, I won't drive without them anymore. I figured, 90 Euros for the LEDs i cheaper than deer damage. My low beams were terrible. I live in a rural, densely wooded area. Also in recent years, maybe due to the now widespread use of automatic headlights, oncoming cars just did not react, or reacted very, very late to my car. Almost every car blinded me for several seconds before switching to low beams, very often not before I switched to high beams too. Very annoying and dangerous, as I drive mostly by night. This has changed now.
As for legal, yes, I mean of course they have no "Freigabe" for 60 Plymouths, but my headlights are the Opel Manta A, VW Scirocco A type (direct bolt in, with oe Mopar retaining rings). So what difference does it make? Anyway, I will not drive without them anymore.

That should be the large 7" (?) headlight type. Quad headlight Mopars use 5.3/4" ones.

Don't think the light pattern would be legal in Germany. All imported cars from the US must have their headlights changed to German standards. Hence I run the old Opel headlights. Otherwise I would have kept the sealed beams |

Nice loophole Sid, I have Valeo headlights used by many car manufactorers, Ferrari, Rolls Roys among them. Could work as explanation for the cops. |
