Does anyone have any idea what the silver object next to the booster balloon of the 300D is? Is it a cruise control?

Location: D-70199 Heslach		and the rusty hexagon screws in the valve cover destroy the otherwise super clean image of this vehicle

that is of course complaining at a high level if you can't find anything else
