This is NOT mine.

If anyone is interested please contact the seller directly via the email at the bottom of the message. Do not ask me any questions about it.

I received this information through an email from the seller, who asked me for some help and advice on selling the car, so here it is. The car looks to have some provenance, based on the original owner, Amon Carter https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amon_G._Carter.

Here is the seller's information:

" I am trying to sell a 1961 imperial 2 door hardtop. It was originally owned by Amon Carter Junior if you were in DFW and go to the airport you will go in on Amon Carter Boulevard, we were in the process of restoration for my husband who passed away of cancer when my son-in-law was shot and killed. I have no idea where to try to sell this. I have over $20,000 in it"

We had the motor, transmission, alternator, radiator, brake booster, rebuilt. Replaced carburetor, battery, tires, carpet, but my loss occurred before it was completed. It has been sitting under carport ever since. I can’t stand watching it . It needs some love. I just need to sell and try to recoup thank you Anne Wilson.

Doubt it, he died in 1955. Amon Giles Carter Sr. (born Giles Amon Carter; December 11, 1879 – June 23, 1955) was the creator and publisher of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and a nationally known civic booster for Fort Worth, Texas.[1] A legacy in his will was used to create Fort Worth's Amon Carter Museum of American Art,[2]

On that IMPERIAL Dealer Service Certificate it says Amon G Carter Jr so would be his son.
