In addition to the set on eBay for $12,000 I found two on Facebook Marketplace in California for $4,000

I guess he didn't think the $12K number was ridiculous enough so he bumped it up a bit.
To put it in perspective, I could make new injection dies for the spinners for around $7-8K. I'm not willing to do that because how would I make my money back out of it? But if you are willing to spend this kind of money, there would be nothing to stop you from doing that instead of purchasing any of these high priced units.

How many 1958 Adventurers remain - 30 or 40? Of those, how many at this point need one or more wheel covers - 5 maybe? There's no chance these will ever be remanufacturered or repopped.

The spinners do have an additional market in 1956 Chrysler owners, but still - no way.

I wondered about that! I thought maybe he just cut-copied-and-pasted his old facebook ad to the bottom of the eBay listing. I still think he may have cut the price in half.

No matter though...tough sell at $2,000 for the set of two in my opinion. They have pitting and it's just two - maybe there's someone out there who has two just like these and is looking to complete their set?
