I purchased a bunch of fabric sample pages (no vinyls included!) recently, so I thought I would post them up here. Many of them, I have no additional information about, but the '57-'58 Chrysler I do. The sample pages are disappointing to a large degree, because they don't include the actual trim codes, they are missing a lot of fabrics that should be on there, and there are many fabrics included that I can't account for in the official paint & fabric books. So I don't completely trust these things, but they do offer some additional information that can be useful, such as providing additional colors of fabrics that never made it to production in the cars. So BE WARNED, that these are far from an official record for what was available in our cars. Everything here must be proved out and verified through other sources.

The first one is for a 1957 Chrysler. It's missing almost the entire fabric selection for the Saratoga and the tweed fabrics for the New Yorker, but it includes 2 rows of fabrics that I have never seen associated with a '57 Chrysler before. There are also 2 snowflake patterns at the lower right, similar to the '60 Chrysler (but not the same!). This is the first time I have seen these. And it also includes what is likely trim codes 73 and 29, which aren't listed as options in the literature (to my knowledge). The square block pattern on the right is an odd one. Anyone recognize it? Many of these fabrics are REALLY stunning in the light of day with all the gold and silver threads that run through them, but the scanner is unable to capture their full beauty. The New Yorker rain drop fabrics 14-17, in particular, have fine gold thread that run through the rain drops that make them really stand out.

My guess is those two rows added, and maybe the snowflakes were used on Imperials? Can anyone verify this?

This is the '58 Chrysler sheet. One of the 3 extra rows has the Imperial symbol on it, so it seems likely that the unknown rows do belong to the Imperial. This one does a better job of capturing all the different fabrics, though it doesn't have the soft upper bolster for the New Yorker sedans, nor any of the vinyls or leathers of course.

This is the '59 Chrysler fabric sheet. I don't have any information about the '59 Chrysler to be able to separate the Imperial out from it.

This is the sheet for the '60 Chrysler and '60 Valiant. The first column is clearly Imperial fabric with the Imperial logo on it. The third column is the New Yorker snow flake pattern.

1958 Dodge fabric sheet. I know that the Custom Coronet fabrics are on the far left column and the Custom Royal fabrics are on the 2nd to bottom row. But that's about all I know. The darker colored Custom Royal fabrics don't appear as dark in real life as they do here. The scanner is unable to pick up the shiny colored threads that reflect the light in these fabrics.

1960 Dodge fabric sheet. It says that it is for the Lancer as well, but there were no Lancers in 1960.

1958 Plymouth fabric sheet. This was originally combined with the 1959 Plymouth, and that was split into 2 parts. I didn't like that format so I separated them out. This one is quite small.

I think these codes are the fabric industry standard codes. Since SMS references these codes as well, one way to figure out what each of them are used for is to do a search on SMS's website for that code number. I was able to figure out many of them that way, though there remain many mysteries that aren't listed on their site.
