Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 10227 Location: Lower Mainland BC | rockerarm - 2023-04-09 10:10 AM Didn't work ! Main reason would be that your photo file size is still more than 250 kB. Even *IF* you tried to post an Apple .jpeg file it would still upload *IF* it was smaller than 250 kB. Edited by 56D500boy 2023-04-09 2:02 PM

Elite Veteran Posts: 873 Location: ALABAMA, HEART OF DIXIE | I have resized my photos as far as I know how to. Still to large. There must be a better way. I have had some success with photos here in the past. Dosen't seem to be any consistancy here.
I have several nice things to offer here if I could figure out the photo thing. Not interested in remote photo bucket sites to download. I can post photos from my files to any of the several forums I visit.... except this one. Edited by rockerarm 2023-04-23 1:38 PM

Elite Veteran Posts: 775 | I mean no offense to anyone here. I have the same problem Will. Sometimes I have some mild success in posting a attachment to a pic. Most of the time failure. My device will not load the photo programs apps for some reason they are rejected??? It is too difficult to post pics here. I also have some good content to post here. I do not post here that much anymore. Sometimes I have to post on another forum site and attach a link to here!!!! I hate doing that,so I don’t. I have NO idea what it takes to run a site like this? If there is a easier way to post pics?

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9954 Location: So. Cal | Many of the new sites (like facebook etc) will automatically reduce the size of your pictures before they post them. This place doesn't have that capability. But it isn't hard to reduce photo sizes on a computer. There are numerous free applications to do it and both Windows and Mac have built in software for doing it as well. You just have to learn how to use it. Even posting directly from a phone, there are apps that will reduce photo sizes on those devices too. So I don't see where the problem is, except from a lack of ability or desire to use your own device, or a refusal to install anything on it. It's understandable that it can be difficult to change from .jpeg to .jpg on a Mac or iphone, but we can live with that. Complaining about the requirements isn't going to change anything. If you need help, then specify exactly which device you are using and ask for advice on what application is recommended to do it on that device. Then people can help you with it, and can help you with figuring out how to use the application to do it.

Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 10227 Location: Lower Mainland BC | . I blame Steve Jobs. He lead the idea of internally integrated products which work great in the Apple family but he failed (in my mind) to allow for the interaction of Apple products with non-Apple products. I am working on Android-powered products with particular use of the freeware Irfanview to resize and enhance any photos that I want to post here as .jpgs. I have written and posted a DIY primer on how to do that. Apparently there is not a MAC compatible Irfanview product *BUT* there are also apparently many alternatives for you: https://alternativeto.net/software/irfanview/?platform=mac Hope you can get one to run for you.
