The radiator in my '56 Sierra (270 V8) will needs total rebuild at a cost I can't handle right now. Going to use replacement aluminum CC1635. Question is thermostat housing size difference compared to new radiator. New radiator will use 1.5" hose.... old was 1.75 going to thermostat housing.

Is there a different thermostat housing with 1.5" I can use?. Or what's the answer. Thank You

I've used a 1.75" hose on a 1.5" radiator and got it to seal just fine. It'll work if the hose is brand new. Otherwise you can probably use a chevy style aftermarket housing and just elongate the bolt holes to make it work. Measure yours ahead of time to see how far it would need to go.
