Location: Alaska		Not sure what you are asking. 61 and older Chrysler engines do not use a flex plate for the automatics, instead the torque converter bolts directly to the crankshaft with studs and nuts.
The crank flange is also different, and that is why you need an adapter to fit a newer trans. There also is a difference in the tooth count on the flywheel/ring gear between early and late
I think changed around 56.

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA		Along with what 58coupe says, 1962 onward A/LA crank flanges use six bolts versus the eight of the pre-1962 cranks.
