Hi I have a friend looking for a transmission selector cable for his 57 Imperial Crown with 392 and Torqueflite. Part 1734-227 (I think). Same for 57/58 Imperial, 57/58 Chrysler.

He's also looking for the driveshaft in the distributor for the same car. Part 1818-665 for the distributor marked IBK-4304/Part 1689-325. (I think).
Any leads nos or used, appreciated to help this 80 year old guy get his car back on the road where it belongs.
Cheers,
Glenn.

.

Only the 57 (IM) and 59 (LY1) Imperials used the 1734 227 cable.

The rest of the 57-58 Plymouths, Dodges, Desotos and Chryslers with Torqueflites used the 1734 228 cable.

There is probably a length issue.

Mopar Mall claims to have them in stock:

Originally reproduced by Imperial Services. A few years back IS went strictly wholesale and now there are numerous dealers carrying their products.

Thanks I have emailed Moparmall waiting to hear back. Has anyone dealt with them before I’ve never heard of them.
Imperial Services emails get bounced back.

Thanks Wayne. Great to hear from you. Do you know what other suppliers carry IS cables?

Where I have noted them, they were all the same (high) price so anyplace with them is a source. Think the last time I bought one it was from Collector's Auto Supply in Washington ( https://collectorsautosupply.com/ )
