Hi There 8119131758
can anyone break down this serial number down for me

Your expectations of what info is hidden in 10 or 11 digit Mopar VIN is unreasonable. There is nothing in there.

At best we *MIGHT* be able to tell you the make, the year and the plant, but that is all.

For example, the first time that I can see a Mopar VIN that starts with "81" is a 1960 Detroit-built Chrysler Windsor that started with 8103-100001. The same car built in the LA plant would be 8105-100001

For 61, the Detroit- built Chrysler Newport VINs started with 8113-100001

For 62, the Detroit-built Chrysler Newport VINs started with 8123-100001

(I can't find anything "8119" in the model listings in the 55-62 parts books - but others might have that info)

IF you really want some info, you need to post a photo (1024 x 768 pixels or less and .jpg not .jpeg) of the data tag (that has everything but the the VIN) on the cowl, the rad support or one of the fenders. Then we might be able to help you.

*MIGHT*

Throwing us a bone, like a photo of the car, might help too. Or at least tell us what you think the car is.

Example: Cowl data tag:

.
This is Canadian-built 1961 Chrysler Windsor (Canadian analogue of American Chrysler Newport)

8 = Chrysler
1 = Windsor
1 = 1961
9 = Windsor, Ontario Canada assembly
131758 = Consecutive unit number staring at 100001…

8113 = 1961 Chrysler Newport, Jefferson Plant
8213 = 1961 Chrysler Windsor, Jefferson Plant
8313 = 1961 Chrysler New Yorker, Jefferson Plant
8413 = 1961 Chrysler 300 G, Jefferson Plant

8119 = 1961 Chrysler Windsor, Windsor Plant
8219 = 1961 Chrysler Saratoga, Windsor Plant
No New Yorkers built in Canada

No Chryslers built at Los Angeles Plant in 1961 – the 1960 was the last year for Chrysler productions…
