I found this mirror in this box and am wondering. Is it even a MOPAR mirror?
If it is MOPAR, it is not NOS but is this the correct box#"2080 970 ALL 1960-1961 MODELS".

Oh, if it is MOPAR, what might it be worth?
Thanks and
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

That's probably the old one that whatever was in that box originally replaced.

I know it's not NOS, I was just wondering if it is even MOPAR at all and IF it is, is it worth anything?
It's in fairly nice condition. Not dented but some spots and all on the mirror itself.
Thanks,
Karl.

I have had that exact day-night mirror on several Forward Look cars I've owned, so yes, it was used in Chrysler Products. Probably made by an outside supplier and may have been sold to others as well as Chrysler Corp.

Thanks all!
But does it have any value? I've recently retired[forced] and now I'm hoping to sell off some stuff to try to supplement some income.
Does this have any value?
Thanks again,
Karl.

I'd say $30-50, at least here in Sweden.

Just like the one in my F

Looks pretty cruddy along the edges.
Will it clean up at all?
The glass part clean up any?
At swap meets around here it's a $10 item, if you are lucky.
Will cost $10+ to just ship it somewhere.
Good Luck!

Someone wants big money for one on Ebay including the dash mount. I doubt it will sell. The mirror glass is poor.

$200, darn, I'll pull the stem from the dash.

I'm going to Ebay it for $38. Figure the shipping will probably be around $8 and i will include the box.
See if I can move it. I realize I have some stuff that I will NEVER use so why keep it?

I retired last week. Not the "I'll travel around the world" kind of retired but the "darn, how will I make it" kinda retired so I guess i should try to sell some stuff and see if I can survive without selling my girl.

How hard is it to restore the glass on a mirror? Can a glass shop cut a new piece of mirror to fit?

You'd better raise your shipping estimate unless it will fit in a small flat rate box.
Regional rate "A" box it might fit.

You would need a bigger prismatic mirror, Mercedes for example. For a professional glass worker it’s a simple task.
It’s much worse to open up the chrimping on the mirror. Better to break the glass and cut the new one slightly smaller for to glue it in place with black silicone.

All right, so right now, I'm just accumulating info so i MIGHT post some of this and have a rough idea of where to start.
I have this other dash mirror. The glass/mirror is really nice with no issues[picture does not show it well]. I THINK it may have been the original mirror on my Suburban? Anyway, it has cracks in the paint and all, what might I expect to see for it?
I also have 2 sets of PRE-1962 exteriors remote mirrors[both great glass]. 1 is NOS the other is really nice. I THINK I paid $400-500 for the NOS set and the other was around $75-100 but it is very nice with minimum pimples.
Anyway, I saw a similar mirror asking $450 or something just for the remote and NOT NOS. That seemed high but What should I be asking for a really nice NOS set and a nice used set of 1959-61 mirrors with gaskets?
1 has definitely 1960 Plymouth dash bezels and the other I thing is 1960 Chrysler?

Some one in Europe bought my DAY/NIGHT mirror. IF you are a member, see this note, and bought this mirror, just wanted to let you know that because Ebay will no longer allow me to talk to buyers as they THINK I will sell something without them taking a few $s, it was shipped today[10/4/21] and sorry for the few days delay as I needed to find a correct box.
IF you bought this, let me know and I will send you the tracking # and
Thanks.
Karl.
