it's a Canadian 58 Chrysler Windsor (essentially the same as a 58 Saratoga)
the wipers where working great today, until they weren't. Bit of smoke and a small flash under the dash. Still have power at the key switch, so I'm suspecting the breaker (or is it a fuse) that appears to be on the side of the wiper motor. Problem is I cant get a good look at it, and I also cant figure out how to access it. The factory manual isn't exactly well written for removal and install. It's seems that if I can get the radio and heater controls out it's a bit simpler, but I can't figure those out either. There's 2 screws at bottom of radio, and it feels like 2 bolts up under heater controls, but I can't figure out how to access those. Is it really a case of un bolting blind along the lower lip of the dash, or am I missing something (probably obvious).
Also can the wiper motors be rebuilt, or is there a replacement option. I'm figuring that if the fuse / breaker blew, there's probably a reason.

Thanks
Julian

You have to pull the knobs off the front of the radio to access the nuts that secure it to the faceplate.
Removal is through the speaker grill after you remove it, out the bottom if the heater ductwork is not in the way.
There is also a brace at the rear of the radio case that has to be unbolted as well.
Good luck!
