I found a four barrel intake for 325 Poly...Actually it's an intake for one of the smaller Hemi's (like maybe a 315 or something like that), but it's the same bolt pattern and style of intake, (air gap).

So the "gaskets" are actually steel shims. I'm guessing they were reusable and maybe you put sealer where the water made contact or something.

The problem is, being an "air gap" style, the bottom of the gaskets are rusty and I'd like to replace them. The parts stores are no use, they look at me like I've got lobster crawling out of my ears.

So, if I have to use high temp around the heat cross over and blue goo for where the water makes contact but is just blocked off anyway and maybe some high tack for the rest of it, so be it but that rust has me concerned. I don't want this to leak!

Any ideas on finding a new set or what I might be able to do to get out of this predicament?

I considered making my own out of paper and using said gasket sealers above in the problem areas but it SURE would be nice if someone could direct me to where I could just buy new ones.

Thanks in advance,

Wayne

Make sure that your 4 bbl manifold is from a 56 315 or 57 325 because the 315 and 325 have taller deck height than the previous 241 and 270 engines.

As for gaskets, there are lots of full sets out there:

Hiltop says that they have the correct 1734850 intake gaskets:

check Rock Auto, Andy Bernbaum, Roberts Motor Parts, Kanter. Metal only gaskets, spray with aluminum paint w/o runs, let set over night before installing..

The intake gaskets I use are the Best Gaskets brand (P/N 15020E) they are a composite material. Embossed steel gaskets should never be reused.

Not sure if you can buy directly from Best Gaskets but here is one reseller:
