James Van Buuren, The Adventurer, passed away yesterday.
He had been fighting stage IV cancer and knew his time was coming soon. He was a good man and I enjoyed all my interactions with him. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear this, I was really hoping he was going to get to NZ to view my cars and for us to meet in person.

Our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.

Best regards
Owen

James Van Buuren will be missing many. Great interest in the Forward Look cars at cars and know them in the smallest detail. He also liked other classic American cars.
Very nice and helpful and invited himself We have followed his fight against the cancer that he got. He has been a real fighter. Many here have supported him along the way.
Gets empty without him. we will miss you. REST IN PEACE

He shared a bit of his MoPar memorabilia collection on facebook. Every piece I tried to purchase, at his urging, was his favorite. He will be missed.

We lived about 10 miles apart and caught up often for a chat and a coffee; we swapped a few parts and bought and sold a few parts too, some of his desoto parts are on my car right now.  He was a generous man in many ways and a wealth of knowledge which he was always happy to share. I admired his positive attitude since diagnosis October 2019 from memory ...

Rest easy James, catch you on the other side....

Colin

RIP dear forwardlook member, it is unfortunately that we will never meet all the good people who enjoy these cars.

Very sad news from Down Under

James was a big ray of sunshine.  All interactions with him were very positive.  He was always willing to help, answer questions and chat.  There are a few parts in my De Soto sent to me from James - now treasured all the more.  Rest in peace, dear Adventurer!

Yep!  Just looking at some key blanks I bought from James.  Great guy.  I wish I could have met him in person.

I got some air filters for my 60 Imp from James, plus some good advice.
Wish I got to meet him.
Steve.
