Here's my post on using the Trico Classics to refill my 1960 blades.

Unfortunatly the metal backed refill was replaced by one that was plastic & the plastic broke.

Unbelievable but true, the rubber, the way it attaches to the wiper, is still unchanged for average new car wipers, so you can buy a cheap set for about any car and retrieve the rubber to use on your FL.

was pressed for time. I was going to a car show 4 hours away with a possibilty of rain going over. Went to parts store and bought a Trico 16" assembly & took it apart like was suggested above. Turns out on my '60 Plym. that it is just short of fitting. Looks like 17" is needed. Turned out it didn't rain & I Rain Xed it just in case.
