Will the dual 4-barrel intake for the 318 poly fit on the 301 poly? I'm thinking the blocks are the same but need confirmation before buying an intake. Thanks.

Your 301 is a Plymouth engine....correct? If yes then the manifold will fit but.....why? Two carbs on a 301 generally requires a stout 301 regardless of brand.

It is a plymouth 301. I'm just exploring options. I have the original intake, just looking for something with a little more flash. I have a pair of good 500cfm Edelbrock carbs I could use, so just thinking that may be an option. Any suggestions are welcomed.

If you go ahead and do this you should use a progressive linkage so you are running on only one carb most of the time. Not the best for mileage but at least it will run. As already mentioned this is entirely too much carburation for this size engine.

If he cams it up, ports the heads and builds it like a modern 1957 Fury engine, He will be fine, Lookup Bruce Toth and read his articles. https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Local-Service/Toth-Performan... https://www.autoyas.com/US/Eau-Claire/858358800898221/Toth-Performan... http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/poly-318-head-work-toth-perf... http://dodgesweptline.org/phorum/read.php?2,15072
