| Has anyone else bought one of these distributors for their plymouth? I really need to know what wires go where. every piece of my wiring harness was gone when I started building this car and the distributor didn't come with any wiring instructions. I have a red and black wire coming out of the distributor and that's all. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I'm finally gonna get to hear this car run after 2 years of work. |

| The one above is what I bought,. I have a blue wire from the ignition switch and that's all I have, no resistor or anything else. So does the red go to positive side of coil and black to the negative side of the coil? Where do I attach the hot wire from the key switch? Thanks again for all the help. |

Location: Massachusetts | Willard, how did this work for you?
I have a '58 Plymouth and I am pretty sure the stock distributor is worn out. Starts fine, idles fine, accelerates fine, doesn't run well above idle at load. Did you just wire the distributor to the coil, no ballast resistor? Did it work OK?
Thanks! |
