Well Today I won't be able to go in the garage today . The '61 is getting the painted today . I know it has been a long journey on the car. There are times I got frustrated and wanted to call it quits but I hung in there instead and was patient about it . After the car is put back to gather and running again I will be going to the tint shop and getting my windows tinted . I will try to take photos later on but I do not to smell paint fumes

The front fenders are still in primer the hood had to be sanded back down to the metal again cancer on the hood . My dad is going to put car cancer killer on the hood to stop it . After my does what is needed on the hood and premiering it both the hood and the fenders will be painted. He also suggested I replace the battery with a new 1 he told me the 1 I have is 7 years old . it has been a long journey on this car . there were some delays because of a certain car being a royal PITA but I won't mention it . It was a mopar but it was not a forward look .

The front fenders have been painted but neither 1 has a hole for the antenna and the car did not come with a hyfy radio.

The camera lens may be scratched, or just needs to be cleaned off. I know when I use my phone in the shop, it can get crud all over it.

Its an iPhone . its the plastic hanging on the walls from when the car got painted Today the new carpet is in the car but its got to set for a day or 2. The back up lights are back in the car. I polished the dash and waxed it. I also cleaned the side panels and put leather conditioner on them. The trunk weather strip was installed also

Front fenders are back on . The plate is back on ( 1961 TN plate) . The chrome is on the trunk at the end Its getting there alot of the hard work is starting to pay off I also plan to tint the windows on this 1 also and yes my mind is made up to do this . I tinted the windows on my last '61 and before I did this the interior got hot but when I put the tint on it made a difference it was cooler and plus this will protect the interior.

The accelerator pedal is back in the car and the jack and spare tire are in the trunk . I just noticed the door sill plate. I also know my brake pedal is not correct and I have tried to get the correct 1 but Bernbaum no longer has them . I even tried them twice,

You might search ebay for that pedal pad. NOS / NORS parts come up for sale quite often.

Car is looking terrific!!

I have no idea what is "correct" on your Fury, but I did find these on eBay. Is one of them what you are looking for?

There are times I wish they took my other '61 had both cars parked next to each other for a photo and I even told them they could take it. its the best photo I can locate. This is the brake pedal I am talking about . When you locate it will you please give me the price plus shipping and I will send it PayPal

The 61 Plymouth brake pedal is the same as the 1960. It has the same “dot” pattern as the accelerator pedal, and will say “power brake” across the top on cars equipped with power brakes. I have seen them on eBay in the past.

The style in the first eBay link you posted was used on 57-59 Dodge & DeSotos,I believe the style in the second link was used on Chryslers

I have two of these, both of mine came out of manual brake cars (1960 Plymouths). Is this what you're after? If so, send me a PM. This is dirty, but I think it would clean up well with some Goop hand cleaner. Can't do much about the wear on the corners.

It’s amazing how much thought went into the design if these cars. Even the brake have a modernistic design with each end rising on the top forming a “chevron” in the center. They appear to have started using that design in 1957 and kept it until 1961 at least.

Looking great! Your dad is to be commended. Your shop lighting, the sunlight coming in from the outside, and possibly your camera flash are contributing to less than stellar photos. Can't wait to see it out in the sunlight.

The headlights and the grill are back on the car Next will be the bumpers. and the chrome by the windshield and the back windows and the starting up of the poly 318 . All this hard work really paid off I will probably do a video and post it on youtube. The fender spears need to be put back on

The Journey is about complete on this for ward look The bumpers are put back on . The rest of the trimming but I am waiting for Door and Roof rail W/S for the car . The car has not been started yet You will even noticed something different about the front bumper of this car .I know some time in the future the rear bumper will need to be straightened and rechromed . I hope I can find a shop in TN or AL that does this.
