I was showing off the power of my '56 2-door New Yorker Newport Coupe taking a young kid for a ride one day and low and behold the upper chrome molding on the passenger door blew off as the clips were loose. I have traveled up and down the road numerous times looking for it to no avail. I have called Desert Valley in Arizona and a local business RM Sotheby's Auctions/ Restoration and both have had no luck finding one. Lots of 4-doors out there but no 2-doors. Can anyone suggest other sources? Thanks

Sorry for your loss. This is why I have clips with nuts on the inside holding my door trim on now.
Don Petty in Phoenix might have one. John at Big M in Williams CA might have one.

If it is the thin upper one, the PN is 1621 981 (same on both L and R doors), and there is one on eBay:

I love the two-tone red NY! Sorry its the "lower" wider one. I will check those out. Thank you!

In that case the PN might be 1621 317. I tried an eBay search with "1956 Chrysler 1621317 door trim" but came up dry.

Good luck.
