I posted this to a question on the Facebook group, and thought this site could use this too.
I upgraded my brake light switch to a mechanical unit, after several failures of the hydraulic switch on the master cylinder. The car is a 58 Imperial.
I used a late model Chevy Malibu switch, and the bracket from a 66 Chrysler, though I suspect that there are lots of similar ones in 60's and 70's Chrysler Products.
The photo shows the installation, the one picture is upside down to get better detail.
The Chrysler bracket has a locating tang (not visible) which makes this setup require only one bolt and nut. I had to play with the adjustment a bit, but it works great now.
